We are making sure you are looped in to some news that is both a little bittersweet for us but filled with immense happiness for Dr. P. After an extraordinary career spanning many wonderful years dedicated to serving our community, Dr. P has made the decision to retire at the end of this year, December 2025.

A Legacy of Care and Joy

It is difficult to truly capture the impact Dr. P has had. She has not just been a dentist; she has been a trusted friend, a dedicated professional, and a true healer. Over her many years of practice, she has changed so many lives—creating brilliant smiles, providing comfort, and building lasting relationships that we will all cherish. She has set a gold standard for compassionate and expert care, and her legacy will certainly live on. She will be deeply missed by all of us here in the office and, we know, by all of you.

What Awaits Dr. P

We are thrilled for Dr. P as she embarks on this exciting new chapter! She will be retiring alongside her beloved husband and planning a sunny move to Texas. Their plan is to truly relax and enjoy the wonderful life they have built together. She has also mentioned that she may take on a few small, temporary dentistry roles near her new home—after all, a passion for helping people is hard to completely put aside!

We look forward to celebrating Dr. P’s incredible career and wish her all the very best on this well-deserved retirement!

Below are the 2 doctors who will be taking over Dr P's patient's care:

If you have GHI Dental Insurance and are a current Dr P patient, and choose to stay with Buffalo Dental Implant, Dr P has chosen Dr. Ami Hariton to take over your care.

All Self pay (no dental insurance), Guardian, Cigna, CSEA, Dental Shop and Delta patients that choose to stay with us will be taken care of by Dr. Hatton.

All other patients will be seen by Dr Orfi.

We also know there are many Dr P patients who drove a long way to see Dr. P and may decide to choose dental care closer to their homes. Dr. Elizabeth Hatton

Dr. Hatton graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her Prosthodontist studies at Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester. As a Prosthodontist, Dr. Hatton has completed three additional years of specialized education focused on the most complex dental challenges. Dr. Ami Hariton

Dr Ami works with us part time. Providing the most advanced dental care in a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere is a top priority for Dr. Ami Hariton

She is diligent in her pursuit to stay current in providing the profession's leading dental procedures while using state of the art technology, supplies and equipment.

Dr. Ami Hariton is a graduate of the University of buffalo school of dental medicine and followed that with a residency at strong memorial hospital. Dr. Ami has been practicing for over 20 years in the buffalo area.

Dr. Ami is caring and passionate about her work and her profession. She knows that patients can have fear and anxiety when going to the dentist and takes the time to make her patients feel safe and comfortable.

To Dr. Ami, dentistry is not "drilling and filling". It is the perfect blend of art and science although she loves many facets of dentistry, Dr. Ami most enjoys getting to know her patients. To her, the heart of patient care is taking a personalized approach. Each patient and their smile is special and Dr. Ami's greatest is seeing a patient's life change after she has restored their smile.

In her spare time Dr. Ami likes to spend time with her two sons and dog Ginger along with family and friends. She is an avid bike rider and enjoys riding for causes such as the ride for missing and exploited children. This year she will also be doing the Empire State ride for Roswell Park. Dr. Ami also enjoys cooking, reading and doing outdoor activities that the Buffalo area has to offer.
