Unexpected News from Dr. Ami Hariton

Updated: Sep 1
Dr. Ami Hariton has had a very unexpected personal emergency in her life. She is fine, but a family member needs her.
We are sad to announce that this emergency makes it so that she is no longer practicing at our office at all anymore.
Many of you may have followed her from her other office to our office in the past few years. Some of you may have been seeing Dr. Pudlewski (from our office) and switched to Dr. Hariton (at our office) when Dr. Pudlewski retired at the end of last year (also why we are short on General Dentistry).
However it is that you found her, this is an unexpected change for all of us.
So how does this affect you if she is your current dentist? Buffalo Dental Implant and Advanced Cosmetics is a specialty office. We have had some AMAZING general dentists join our team over the past years, but the core of what we do is perio, dental implants, restorative work (crowns, veneers, bridges, etc.) implant supported dentures, and prosthodontics work. Because we are a specialty office, we don't have enough general dentists on staff to cover Dr Hariton's sudden departure. This means that most of Dr. Hariton's patients will need to find a new general dentist outside of our office and we will support you through your transition.
Please know that if we have already discussed this news with you in the past few weeks, (either in person or on the phone) then you are already up to date on how this affects you.
Also all Confi-Dents patients (people with full arch implant supported dentures) will always have someone on staff that will continue your care with us. You are a restorative patient and that's what we do.
1. Patients Currently Mid-Treatment
If you are currently in the middle of an active treatment plan, our team will finish your care. Our specialty staff will ensure your current treatment is completed safely and seamlessly.
2. Ongoing General Dental Care
Because Buffalo Dental Implant and Advanced Cosmetics is a specialty practice, we no longer have general dentistry practitioners on staff to take over routine ongoing dental care. You will need to transition to a general dentistry provider at another office of your choice for future routine checkups and hygiene care.
If you see us for periodontal cleanings, we can still see you for your periodontal cleanings, but you will need to find a dentist for your exams, fillings, and general dentistry needs.
3. 30-Day Emergency Support
To ensure continuity of care while you find a new provider, our office will be available to treat any urgent or emergency dental needs for the next 30 days from the date of this notice. If you experience severe pain, swelling, trauma, or another urgent issue within the next 30 days, call us immediately at 716-882-3777
We don't make this change lightly. The unexpected change was a surprise for us, too. We value all of our patients and the relationships we have. We apologize for this major inconvenience.
We understand that consistency in your dental care is vital, and we are committed to ensuring you feel supported throughout this transition.
